My current favourite book

It’s not hard to understand why a Philip Pullman book is an absolute favourite of mine, especially considering I’m not even a quarter way through. The Book of Dust is volume 1 to a trilogy of fantasy novels currently unpublished. The Book of Dust, Le Belle Sauvage was released 19th of October 2017 however is set before The Golden Compass.

Thoroughly enjoyable and definitely worth a read as far as I can tell! Will keep you all updated.

Eleven-year-old Malcolm Polstead and his dæmon, Asta, live with his parents at the Trout Inn near Oxford, on the banks of the River Thames which Malcolm navigates using his beloved canoe, a boat by the name of La Belle Sauvage.

Across the River is the Godstow Priory where the nuns live in quiet seclusion. But Oxford’s peace is about to be shattered.
